Utah may be a desert, but it is a great place for water sports as well. With several reservoirs and rivers nearby, the possibilities are endless including water skiing, jetskiing, rafting, kayaking, sailing on the great salt lake, fishing, and more. There are also several hot springs not far from Salt Lake and are listed as some of the top mineral springs in the world.
While skiing is a major event during the winter, every resort features several summer activities when the snow has melted such as hiking, rock climbing, rappelling, zip-lines, alpine slides, and alpine coasters just to name a few! Even the sites from the 2002 Winter Olympics are open for summer activities including tubing down the ski jumps, roller-sliding the bobsled track, adventure rope courses, slip and soar into an Olympic pool, and many more!
